Deep Cleaning in Bratislava: What the Premium Tier Actually Includes

Every apartment has a set of surfaces nobody touches. The inside of the oven. The runners under the fridge. The top shelf of the kitchen cabinets. The exterior face of the windows, which in a fourth-floor flat cannot be reached safely without equipment. These are not neglected out of carelessness — they are simply outside the reach of a normal weekend clean. Deep cleaning in Bratislava from Shine Guards is the service built specifically for them.

The Scope of a Deep Clean

Shine Guards describes Deep Cleaning as intensive top-to-bottom cleaning for properties that demand maximum attention, containing the entire scope of Full-Scale Cleaning plus thorough treatment of the areas that are not cleaned on a regular basis. It is the premium turnkey service in the catalogue.

Because it contains Full-Scale, it also contains Basic. The visit therefore covers everything from dusting, vacuuming and mopping through to bathroom disinfection, interior window washing, hood cleaning, balcony tidying and a full pass over kitchen surfaces — before the deep-specific work begins.

The additions that define the tier are exterior window washing, comprehensive appliance cleaning including the oven, dishwasher and refrigerator, cleaning of all cabinets, and stain removal from upholstered furniture and carpets.

Appliance interiors are the part clients notice most. An oven that has not been cleaned in a year does not respond to a wipe-down; it needs dwell time, the right chemistry and mechanical work. The same applies to a fridge that has been defrosted but never properly washed out, and to a dishwasher filter that has quietly stopped draining well.

Cabinet interiors are the part clients forget. Kitchen units accumulate crumbs, spilled dry goods and a film of airborne cooking grease on the inside of the doors. Bathroom cabinets accumulate product residue. Neither is visible until the doors are open, which is why they survive years of routine cleaning untouched.

Soft furnishing work closes the gap that hard-surface cleaning leaves. Stains on upholstery and carpets are treated directly rather than vacuumed around, which is usually the difference between a flat that smells clean and one that only looks clean.

When a Deep Clean Is the Correct Order

New clients are the largest group. Shine Guards recommends starting with a deep clean to bring the property to a good baseline and then switching to regular maintenance — the sequence that makes every subsequent visit cheaper and faster.

Properties that have been without professional attention for months fall into this tier by default. At that point a maintenance clean does not fail because the cleaner is slow; it fails because the specification does not include the work that needs doing.

Seasonal resets belong here for households that do them once a year rather than quarterly. One intensive pass covering appliances, cabinets, exterior glass and soft furnishings can replace three lighter cleans in terms of what it actually removes.

Property handovers use it when the previous condition is unknown or poor. Buying a flat, taking over a rental after a long tenancy, or reclaiming a property from a difficult tenant all justify an intensive first clean.

Households with allergies use it for a specific reason: dust load is concentrated in soft furnishings, cabinet interiors and behind heavy appliances, and only the deep tier addresses all three in the same visit.

It is also the honest answer when a client is unsure. If there is genuine doubt about whether a flat needs a full-scale or a deep clean, the deep option removes the risk of paying for a visit that was under-specified from the start.

    What Determines the Cost

Pricing is fixed in advance. Shine Guards agrees the figure before dispatching the specialist, and it does not change afterwards. For an intensive service this matters more than for a maintenance visit, because deep cleaning is exactly the category where open-ended hourly billing becomes expensive.

Size and layout set the base. Square metres, number of rooms, number of bathrooms and the size of the kitchen are the first questions during the confirmation call.

Condition adjusts it. The manager asks how long it has been since the last professional clean, because the state of the oven, the cabinets and the soft furnishings drives the working hours far more than floor area does.

Window count and access affect the exterior element. Ground-floor glass and a fourth-floor balcony window are different jobs, and the scope of the window component is agreed rather than assumed.

Extras remain separately priced even within the premium tier. Ironing and wardrobe organisation are charged at €28 per hour, appliance work at €35 for a fridge, oven or extractor hood and €22 for a microwave, and cabinet work at €28 per hour — so a client can extend the scope precisely rather than upgrading a whole package for one task.

    How the Visit Is Organised

The request goes in through the form on the Bratislava page: name, phone, address, available time, and any specific requirements in the comments. The online calculator produces a first figure at the same time.

A manager calls back within roughly 30 minutes to confirm property size, room count, pets and required extras, and to fix the price and the date. That call is where the scope is settled in detail — for a deep clean it is worth listing the appliances and the cabinets you actually want done.

The specialist arrives with all equipment and cleaning products. Deep cleaning genuinely depends on this: the difference between an oven that comes clean and one that does not is largely a matter of the chemistry and the tools available on site.

Clients do not need to be present. Most leave a key or provide access through a smart lock, and the company carries responsibility for the property while its staff are working. If something is damaged, Shine Guards takes responsibility and resolves it.

Every cleaner completes training and passes a practical assessment before working with clients, and the team communicates in English, Ukrainian and Russian.

Payment follows the service in cash, by card or by cashless transfer, and the manager checks the result afterwards. Anything not done correctly is corrected at no additional cost.

    After the Deep Clean

The point of an intensive reset is to make maintenance viable. Once appliances, cabinets and soft furnishings are back to a baseline, a fortnightly or weekly visit is enough to hold the standard, and the heavy work does not need repeating for a long time.

Households with children or pets generally move to a weekly schedule after the reset; couples and single occupants usually settle at every two weeks. Where possible, the same specialist is assigned to recurring visits, so preferences do not need re-explaining.
